This is one the first home dog training courses I purchased online. I got this one before the clicker training course and secrets to dog training premium pack. Initially I was skeptical of Dove’s video course.

Want to know why? The first time I came upon her site, I scrolled down a bit and saw the following text:

“I am a professional Hollywood North dog trainer. Some of the feature films I've worked on include: Saved! and Sam's Lake; TV shows: Romeo, Behind the Camera: Charlie's Angels, and Cougar Crossings; and commercials, including: The Source.”

At first, I thought “OH REALLY? Gimme me a break Ms. Scammer.” I think most people would just lap it up without doing some background search but not this boy! Now way! I’m off to IMDB to check out the credits so you can’t BS me, you ain't foolin…..Hmmm, wait a minute.

Turns out, she’s the real deal (hide my face in shame). Her resume is pretty impressive. Dog trainer for that silly movie the Core (2003), Behind the Camera: The Unauthorized Story of 'Charlie's Angels' (2004), The X Files: I Want to Believe (2008). Lead animal trainer in Sam's Lake (2005).

The quality of her video lessons is top-notch. There are 7 lessons in all and each one comes complete with crisp clear pictures and audio. To develop a full understanding of each lesson, you can simply play the key section over and over.

The videos can be viewed online anytime plus the audio quality is superb thereby enables you to hear the commands from Dove’s tone of voice exactly as you need to deliver to your dog.

Many dog owners can benefit greatly from this course. Those with zero dog training experience right up to folks with moderate experience level. Experts need not apply.

Unlike the secrets to dog obedience training pack and clicker super trainer course, there aren’t any advance level techniques to be found in this Dove Cresswell’s dog training video program.

I Want To Complain

Dove’s dog training online program is presented exclusively in video format. It’s a bit of a put off for me because I would prefer a printable condensed manual to accompany each video lesson.

I’m all for manual + video combo. This would make it easier for me to review the tips and techniques without having to watch the whole video.

Sure, I can simply go to a specific section in the videos, but it’s so much more convenient to have a handy text-based reference at my fingertips for a real quick refresher.

I sent some questions to Dove’s support desk and my email was only replied around 2 days later. Considering the quality of her video training program, she needs to reply her emails faster.

Currently, the reply time is a bit inconsistent. Sometimes I get a really quick reply (within an hour!); sometimes it takes 2 to 3 days. Still, every single question I posed was professionally responded by Dove.
